Now on CodePlex - Cookie Free Analytics V1.0.0.1

Just a quick post to say I've now started a CodePlex project for Cookie Free Analytics.

The current V1.0.0.1 release is available for download. Hopefully V1.0.0.2 with (proof of concept) event tracking will follow in the next couple of weeks.

If you do download the current source code (not the released .zip) please forgive the messy hack to get event tracking to the proof of concept stage. I do plan to review the workings to properly support event tracking and eventually e-commerce.

Hey, nice library.  Do you think it would be able to track webs service calls or rest service calls ?  I am looking for a way to track these server side calls.

Hi Grendo,

If the web service / REST call is made to a file that .NET framework can handle then it should be possible, can't say i've tested it tho.

If you only want to track calls to your services then you could simply add a call to "CookieFreeAnalytics.CFA_Core.TrackVisit();" to each service. Make sure to either add the file types of your service to the web.config (CookieFreeTrackExtensions app key), or disable the "if" to check its a valid url.

Lastly, if the client calling your web service isn't a full browser with javascript support you'll want to disable the line "if (HttpContext.Current.Request.Browser.EcmaScriptVersion.Major < 1)" in FWG-Core.cs otherwise it might not make it thru the very basic spider check.

Let me know how you get on and if you have any issues.
